Dubai Museum is the main museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Al Fahidi Fort. The museum was opened by the ruler of
Dubai in 1971, with the aim of presenting the traditional way of life in the Emirate of
Dubai. When entering, one
can see the fort constructed and the various displays that go along with it.
From the fort, there is a path to the galleries, which display the general
culture of the land, especially in the 1800s. It includes local antiquities as
well as artifacts from African and Asian countries that traded with Dubai. It
also includes several dioramas showing
life in the emirate before the advent of oil, in addition to artifacts from
recent discoveries as old as 3000 BC.

Al Fahidi Fort
Al
Fahidi Fort was
built in several phases. The oldest tower was built around 1787 and is believed
to be the oldest building in Dubai that still exists today. The fort was used
to guard the landward approaches to the town from the raids of neighboring tribes. It has also served, at
various times throughout history as the ruler's palace, a garrison, and a prison.
Sparrowhawk
The sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) is a small bird of prey in
the family Accipitridae. It has a wide distribution in Eurasia and
North Africa.
The adult male sparrowhawk has a blue-grey back and wings.
His chest and belly have thin orange stripes. Female and young sparrowhawks
have brown backs and wings, with thin brown stripes. The female is up to 25%
larger than the male. This is one of the biggest size differences in any bird
species.

The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) (Arabic: مركز دبي التجاري العالمي) is
a business complex in Dubai, United Arab
Emirates, built by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It is located along Sheikh Zayed Road at the Trade Centre Roundabout. The
complex comprises the original tower (built in 1978), eight exhibition halls,
the Dubai International Convention Centre and residential apartments.
The 39-storey office tower stands 149 meters
(489 feet) tall and a majority of the floors are let commercially. At the
time it was built, it was the tallest building in Dubai (and UAE & the
region) and the first high rise along Sheikh Zayed Road.
