During the
tenure of HVR Iyengar (RBI Governor from 01.03.1957 to 28.02.1962) the shape of
the water-mark windows were changed slightly both on the front and back
compared to the previous one, but the general design and language pattern was
retained.

during the tenure of P.C. Bhattacharya
During the tenures of the next RBI Governor P.C. Bhattacharya (RBI
Governor: 01.03.1962 -30.06.1967) some changes in the design were introduced.
The text ‘ पांच रुपये ’ added near large numeral “5”. The picture of the Antelopes also replaced with 3
standing deer.
